Planned Activities

Quilters 2 is a very busy group of active quilters. Activities which are planned for the 2008/2009 season include the following. For details and scheduling, see the activity calendars which are included in the newsletters.

• Continued quilt production and donations to more than twenty charities
• Quilting tool or process demonstrations at each weekly meeting
• Saturday workshops
• Occasional “Quiltathons” (all day quilting sessions)
• HQ16 basic, refresher, and advanced training, including certification
• Pfaff and Bernina sewing machine training and certification
• Numerous classes and demonstrations for quilting techniques from beginner to advanced
• Make and raffle bed size quilt(s) to help pay for supplies used to produce charity quilts, at Christmas time and in March
• Christmas lunch
• Quilt entries in the January Tucson Quilt Guild Shows
• Q2 Quilt Show at the Voyager
• Voyager Show and Tell (March)
• Bus trip to the Phoenix Quilt Show (March)
• Brunch and Potluck dinner(s)
• Q2 Internal raffle
• Group visits to local quilt shops for demonstrations and shopping; visits from quilt shop personnel to our meetings for demonstrations
• Summer and Fall shop hops
